This review is based years of dining in experiences at Hunan Yuan. We first found this place randomly after stopping at the Safeway in the same plaza and decided to try it out, despite the mediocre rating. It is a solid consistent spot for Chinese. Everything is always good and fresh. We prefer takeout versus dining in; no matter what we order it's always ready in 15 min. They will make whatever you ask for (moo shoo tofu, bok choy with garlic, etc). They are always pleasant on the phone. Thank you HY!

Came here on a Friday night and it was not that busy. We were seated right away. Ambiance was casual and the place was clean. We ordered combination chow fun, orange chicken, and Hongkong style noodles. By far the best orange chicken I had. It was crispy and saucy and the chicken was tender. Noodles were also good and tasty. Lily was very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.
